They dealt with poetic and current issues; vices and virtues of contemporaneity; feelings, thoughts and emotions.
All with a single language, the international one of humorous graphics.
The first (non-virtual) exhibition of the City of Marostica at the Lower Castle (from 22 May to 20 June) and to that competition known all over the world, which has 49 editions, is dedicated to the "Humorists".
Not just any exhibition: the one on the threshold of the fiftieth birthday (which will be celebrated in 2022) celebrates the winners of each edition with a work, thus proposing an overview of international humorous graphics and, at the same time, of the history of the competition that among the its annals boasts the most important cartoonists, illustrators and graphic designers in the world.
On display the works of Adolf Born, Osvaldo Cavandoli, Bruno Bozzetto, Eronda, Silvana Migliorati, Toni Vedù, David Mckee, Quino, Milko Dikov, Silvia Ziche, Roberto Totaro, Maurizio Minoggio, Guido Clericetti, Origone, Stane Jagodic, Ernesto Cattoni, Simone Frosini, Gino Gavioli, Assunta Toti Buratti, Paolo Dal Ponte, O-Sekoer, Alessandro Gatto, Sergio Toppi, Marilena Nardi and many others.
The exhibition is organized by the Marostica Graphic Group in collaboration with the Municipality of Marostica and with the patronage of the Banca Popolare di Marostica Volksbank Foundation.
The exhibition"The winners of 49 editions of Humorists in Marostica" can be visited from 22 May to 20 June 2021 on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, from 10.00 to 12.00 and from 15.00 to 18.00.
Inauguration in the courtyard of the Lower Castle on Saturday 22 May at 5.00 pm.
