Portrait of the Turkish cartoonist Eray Özbek

Eray Özbek, born in Muğla in 1942, is a renowned Turkish cartoonist and architect. His work has appeared in more than 400 collections in 32 countries. With a career spanning over 60 years, he has developed a unique style incorporating silhouettes, lyrical texts, and various printing techniques. He has held numerous exhibitions worldwide and won 137 awards in 27 countries.

This competition aims to honor his artistic contributions by inviting artists to create portrait caricatures of Eray Özbek.

Specifications and Rules

The competition is international and open to all amateur and professional cartoonists.

There is no restriction on technique – digital or traditional artworks are accepted.

Works must be:

• Format: A4 size (21 x 29.7 cm)

• File: JPG, 300 dpi resolution

Each participant may submit unlimited entries.

Along with their work(s), participants must include:

• Full name

• Postal address

• Phone number

• Email address

Submissions must be sent via email to: erayozbekcaricatures@gmail.com

Works submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.

All cartoons must be original. The participant is responsible for any copyright or plagiarism issues.

Selected works will be published in a special issue of Tebeşir Cartoon Magazine (PDF version will be sent to contributors).

All participants will receive a digital Certificate of Honor.
