The award-winning Portuguese cartoonist opens an exhibition with his most outstanding works, on August 17, at 6:30 pm, at Casa Oliveira Guimaraes, on Dom Luiz de Alarcao, in Espinhal.

“Everything is important - says Pedro - in a physiognomic caricature, the eyes, nose and mouth are fundamental. The ideal is to have the person of flesh and blood in front of me, but when it is not possible, I look for images on the web. The choice of images and videos is crucial for the final result. ”

“In my creative process -precisa- first I make several sketches in pencil until I capture the essentials of the person, then I move forward with a final pencil drawing. I used to paint the gouache, with the color crayons, or the oil wax, nowadays the color is almost all painted with Photoshop. Each work has its history, there are people easier than others, but they all give a lot of struggle. There are times when I go crazy because I can't catch the person. But with blood, sweat and tears, there you can. ”
