FICA is the essential place for meetings between young and old, professionals and amateurs, big names in caricature which have become an important meeting place on the global caricature agenda, FICA has acquired the maturity which has enabled it to rise to the forefront of events dedicated to caricature in Africa and in the world At each edition of FICA, the artistic direction addresses a particular theme through which famous cartoonists are in the spotlight.
The program thus includes exhibitions in Morocco, a cycle of debates, meetings, exhibitions, and workshops to raise children's awareness of the language of images and national and international competitions. This rich and varied program offers the Moroccan public unique opportunities to meet and exchange with renowned artists and speakers, guests of the festival.
Since 2017, the city of Agadir has hosted the International Caricature Festival in Africa (FICA). This cultural event which takes place over 3 days is organized by the Moroccan satirical weekly Le Canard Libéré in collaboration with the Atlas de Caricature Association (AAC) and the Moroccan Caricature Association (MAC).
