Interview with Taher Shabani-Iran

"My cartoon ideas come from people on the streets, the news of dialogues that may be exchanged between people, or seeing a picture of people's lives that may seem a little unusual and funny, or even an idea. Well taken from a movie sequence.

If I come up with something out of the ordinary, then they have to re-think their position. Sometimes I change parts of the design that I think will get better as I work; Obsession and meticulousness are necessary.

In my cartoons, I try to make the work I create have analysis, irony and humor, and in the illustrations, it is eye-catching for the viewer in every way.

The art of caricature is one of the best and most practical arts because with its sting and flip, it reminds everyone of important points in the form of visual humor; According to Master Javad Alizadeh, caricature is an international language because the cartoon is understood by all people in the world and speaks to the audience without intermediaries. "A good caricature may speak for a book or dozens of films, because caricature is a critical art and has always had challenges to the point where it may disrupt a global political caricature."

Taher Shabani is a graphic artist, cartoonist, illustrator and born in 1979 in Hamedan,Iran.
