The exhibition brings together 130 works, from his most recent production, including satirical drawings and original illustrations by the award-winning Italian cartoonist, published in more than 200 newspapers.
From October 9 to November 28, the WOW Spazio Cartoon, from the Milan Comic Museum, with free admission, pays tribute to the multi-award-winning Marco De Angelis (Rome, 1955) cartoonist, illustrator, journalist and graphic designer, with a professional career almost fifty years old, and a work that addresses reality in a critical, original and poetic way, and that expresses its honest and deep concern for various issues that affect humanity.
His career is wide and diverse, and his cartoons, with exquisite lines and sharp eyes, with more than 130 awards in Italy and the rest of the world, confirm him as a vigorous representative of Italian graphic humor, which ennobles caricature with its artistic value. .
The Museum's website states: “The exhibition addresses central themes of our time: environment, war and peace, love, politics and society, science and culture. A choice motivated by the need to maintain order among the countless topics covered, outlining an attentive, ironic and ruthless portrait of today. The graphic commentary without words, composed of metaphors, paradoxes and surreal situations, turns out to be a true journalistic piece here, an article made of images, which reaches straight to the heart: make you laugh, or smile with clenched teeth, but always making you think and to reason".
