SATYRYKON 2026 – Rules and Regulations

I. Participation Conditions

1. SATYRYKON 2026 International Exhibition is an open competition.

2. The competition accepts drawings, graphics, fine art works, and photography created with any technique, provided they are originals and submitted to one of the following sections:

   I – Theme: COMFORT ZONE
   II – JOKE & SATIRE

3. Works that have received awards in other competitions will be excluded from SATYRYKON.

4. Works must be submitted through the online form no later than 7 January 2026 (until 11:59 a.m., Polish time).

5. Up to three works per section may be submitted.

   • Maximum format: A3 (297 × 420 mm)

   • Maximum file size: 5 MB per image

   • Format: JPEG

   • For works that cannot be emailed (e.g., sculptures), please contact: satyrykon@lck.art.pl

6. AI-generated works or works based on AI output are strictly prohibited and will be disqualified.

7. By submitting works, each participant declares that they are the sole author of the submitted entries.

II. Prizes

1. Works will be evaluated by an international Jury.

2. The Jury will award the following prizes:

• Grand Prix SATYRYKON 2026 – in-kind prize (pure gold key) + 12,000 PLN

• 2 Gold Medals – 8,000 PLN each

• 2 Silver Medals – 7,000 PLN each

• 2 Bronze Medals – 6,000 PLN each

• 4 Special Prizes – 5,000 PLN each

Additional Special Prizes:

• Mayor of Legnica Award – 5,000 PLN

• Director of Legnica Culture Centre Award – 5,000 PLN

• Museum of Caricature in Warsaw Award – 5,000 PLN

• Satyrykon’s Andrzej Tomiałojć Foundation Award – 5,000 PLN

Additional prizes are expected for:

• Best Debut Author

• Best Student Debut
  Each accompanied by a solo exhibition at the Satyrykon Gallery during the 2026 event.

The Jury reserves the right to distribute prizes differently, change their number, not award them, or decide not to award the Grand Prix. All Jury decisions are final.

• Works qualified for the 2nd stage will be announced on 23 January 2026 at: www.satyrykon.pl

• Participants selected for the second stage will be notified by email.

• Final competition results and exhibition selections will be announced on 20 March 2026.

3. Participation is free of charge.
   Original works will be returned on the condition that the author donates one selected work to the Satyrykon Gallery as compensation for postage costs.
   If the author does not clearly indicate the work to be donated, the organizer may return works at the author's expense. Details will be arranged individually by email.

Note:
In-kind and cash prizes are subject to taxation according to applicable regulations.
Prizes will be paid either:

• upon the author’s attendance at the exhibition opening, or

• via bank transfer in a currency specified by the author.

III. Participants’ Privileges

1. Authors whose works are selected for the exhibition will receive:

   • A presentation copy of the exhibition catalogue

   • A free-of-charge place in the catalogue

2. Prize-winners are granted free participation in the SATYRYKON 2026 event (June 12–14, 2026).

3. Works sent for the exhibition may be shown in Poland and abroad.
   They will be returned to authors by 31 December 2027.

IV. Final Provisions

1. Organizers reserve the right to use submitted works for SATYRYKON promotional purposes, including exhibitions, advertising materials, and catalogues—without additional fees.

2. Prize-winning works become the property of the organizers and will be added to the Satyrykon Gallery collection.

3. The organizers have the final authority in interpreting these regulations.

4. Jury members and designers of the current edition are not allowed to participate in this year’s competition.

5. Submission of works constitutes the artist’s acceptance of all rules and consent to publication of their profile in the post-exhibition catalogue.

6. Legnica Culture Centre (+48 76 72-33-700; satyrykon@lck.art.pl) is the organizer of SATYRYKON – Legnica 2026.

Schedule

• Work submission deadline: 7 January 2026 (11:59 a.m., Polish time)

• Announcement of entries qualified for judging: 23 January 2026

• Jury meeting: 13 March 2026

• Announcement of exhibition participants: 20 March 2026

• Post-competition exhibition: June–August 2026

• Return of works: By 31 December 2027
