SELECTION + announcement of selected cartoonists: June 2026
JURY + announcement of finalists: July–August 2026
ANNOUNCEMENT OF AWARDED CARTOONISTS: September 2026
OFFICIAL EXHIBITION & AWARD CEREMONY: November–December 2026, Skopje

4. Themes

Free Theme
The authors may choose the topic and technique freely.

5. Accepted Categories

Cartoons
Satirical Drawings
Comics/Strips (one-panel, non-verbal)

6. Format & Number of Works

Format: A3 (42×30 cm) or A4 (30×21 cm)
Number of Works: Up to 5 per artist

7. Rules & Conditions

Works may be:
- Original artworks (hand-drawn on paper or other media)
- Digital artworks (printed, numbered and pencil-signed on the front)
Only new works that have not been previously published or awarded will be considered.
Works judged as identical or too similar to known works by another artist will not be evaluated.
Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the creation process leads to immediate disqualification.
If any rule violation is discovered after awarding, the organizer reserves the right to withdraw the award.
The Selector and Jury will give special attention to the visual expression of the artworks.

8. How to Submit

A) By Email (Digital Submission)

Send to: cartoons@osten.com.mk
Include:

Completed Application Form (scanned or electronic)
Artist’s photo
Short biography
Digital images of submitted works

B) By Postal Mail (Mandatory Step)

Send the original artworks or printed/signed digital works along with the printed and signed Application Form.

On the back of each work, write:
Name – Country – Title

⚠️ Only works that arrive by post before 31 May 2026 will be judged.

Works remain in the OSTEN Collection
Works will not be returned

2) Participation WITH FEE: 20 USD

Non-selected works will be returned (shipping organized by the author)

12. Selection & Jury Process

The Selector decides which artists go to the jury stage.
The International Jury evaluates selected works, chooses pieces for the catalog, and decides on awards.

Awards / Jury Decision: end of September 2026

13. Catalog, Exhibition & Certificates

Works of Awarded Artists, Finalists, and Selected Cartoonists will be reproduced in the official catalog.
All selected works will be displayed at the official exhibition in Skopje.
Awarded artists receive:
- Cash prize
- Certificate
- Printed catalog
Finalists receive:
- Digital certificate
- Catalog in PDF
