Regulations

The competition is open to cartoonists worldwide.

The competition is organized in two main sections: National and International.

Participants may submit a maximum of three works per theme.

All entries must be accompanied by a CV in Romanian or English.

The CV must include full name, address, contact phone number, email address, country of origin, a copy of ID card or passport, and an IBAN bank account.

Artworks must be sent in JPG format with a resolution of 300 dpi.

Submissions must be sent by email to ccsbistrita@yahoo.com.

The awarded works will be included in the Satirical Graphic Exhibition “Golden Apple” 2026.

All submitted works will be evaluated by an international jury.

Works submitted after March 4, 2026 will not be accepted.

Submitted works will not be returned and will remain in the Festival archive.

The organizers reserve the right to publish or display the works in the Festival catalogue, on the website, or in other promotional materials without further consent.

Works or texts with obscene content will not be accepted.

The Festival promotes only original creation.

Works created entirely using artificial intelligence will be disqualified.

All correspondence regarding the Festival should be addressed to the House of Culture of Trade Unions Bistrița.

Prizes

The prizes consist of cash awards, diplomas, and trophies.

The jury has full authority over the allocation, ranking, redistribution, and awarding of prizes.

After deliberation, winners will be informed in due time to attend the Award Ceremony and the Laureates’ Gala “Golden Apple 2026”.
