Competition Name: 2nd Expo Cartoon Panama 2026

Deadline: August 1, 2026.

Theme: The Panama Canal as a Historical and Cultural Symbol. Participants are invited to depict, through cartoons and graphic humor, the historical significance of the Panama Canal and its role in shaping identity, cultural diversity, and the connection between peoples around the world.

Eligibility: Open to cartoonists, illustrators, and graphic humorists from Panama and all countries. Participation is free and limited to adults (18 years and older).

Regulations: Only original digital works will be accepted. AI-generated artworks are not permitted. Each participant may submit only one work. Entries must be in A4 format (A4-A3 accepted), 300 dpi, JPEG or PNG, in black and white or color, and signed by the artist. The file name must include the author's name and country. Each submission must include the participant's full name (and artistic name, if applicable) and country. Works containing offensive, insulting, discriminatory, or hate-promoting content will not be accepted.

Prize: One winner will receive US$500.

Exhibition: Selected works will be exhibited on September 16, 2026, in Panama City. They will also become part of the Expo Cartoon Panama Archive Portal, the Permanent Exhibition, and a traveling exhibition across different regions of Panama.

Copyright & Conditions: By participating, artists confirm that they own all copyrights to their submitted work and that it does not infringe the rights of third parties. Participants authorize the organizer to use the submitted works free of charge for exhibitions, publications, social media, and promotional purposes. The organizer reserves the right to extend the submission deadline if necessary and will notify participants of any changes. The jury's decisions are final.
