Eligibility and Entries
Each participant may submit a maximum of three original cartoon works.
All works must be original and accompanied by a brief biography, a photo, full address, and phone number.
The cartoon technique is free.

Submission Deadline and Method
Submission period runs from 10 February 2026 to 10 July 2026, until 24:00 (00:00) Romanian local time.
Works must be sent by email to: cartooncontestbraila@gmail.com

Technical Requirements
Works must be submitted in electronic format, JPG, 300 dpi resolution, CMYK.
Each file name must include the author’s name and the title of the work.

Jury and Judging Period
Judging will take place between 15 and 31 July 2026.
The jury’s decision is final, cannot be appealed, and will not be motivated.

Prizes
Big Prize: 1000 EUR
First Prize: 700 EUR
Second Prize: 500 EUR
Third Prize: 400 EUR
Special Prizes: three prizes of 200 EUR each

Taxes and Payments
All prizes are taxable according to Romanian legislation in force at the date of awarding.
Prize amounts will be transferred within a maximum of sixty days after the announcement of the winners.

Obligations of Winners
Winners must send the original awarded work, signed on the back, within forty-five days of the announcement of results.
Original works must be sent by post to:
Romania, Brăila, Traian Square, no. 2, postal code 810153.

Winning works must be accompanied by a signed declaration of copyright assignment for exhibition for an indefinite period and personal bank account details, including bank name, IBAN, and SWIFT code, issued by the bank.
Romanian winners must provide a lei account, while foreign winners must provide a euro or national currency account.

Copyright and Usage Rights
Participants declare that they own the submitted works and all related copyrights.
By entering the contest, participants agree to the exhibition and promotional use of the works in galleries, museums, and related events.
Winners transfer ownership of the awarded works to the Organizer upon sending the original works.
The Organizer assumes no responsibility for copyright infringement; full responsibility lies with the submitting artist.

Liability and Special Notes
The Organizer is not responsible for prize transfer issues caused by the absence of interbank relations.
Failure to comply with the regulations releases the Organizer from any liability.
After the jury report is signed, the Organizer has no further obligations regarding the final results.

Exhibition, Opening, and Awards Ceremony
The contest opening and awards ceremony will take place in October 2026.
The Organizer will provide one day of accommodation and meals for winners attending the opening ceremony, except for winners residing in the Municipality of Brăila.
Subject to the approved budget, the Organizer may invite the Big Prize winner.

Regulation Acceptance
Registration for the contest implies full acceptance and compliance with all contest regulations.
