“Draw Amasya – Interpret”

Reinterpretation of Amasya’s historical, cultural, and natural identity through caricature, including its historical texture, traditional houses, City of Princes heritage, Yeşilırmak River, natural beauty, urban life, and the humor of its people

Regulations

The competition is organized by Amasya Municipality.

The competition is open to all amateur and professional cartoonists, national and international.

Participation is free of charge.

Each artist may submit a maximum of three works.

Submitted works must not have received awards in any previous competition.

Works violating general moral principles, containing insults, harmful expressions, or political propaganda will be disqualified.

The technique is free (color or black and white, digital or hand-drawn).

Works produced using artificial intelligence are strictly prohibited and will be disqualified even after awarding if detected.

Accepted sizes are A4 or A3, JPG format only.

Resolution must be 300 dpi and file size must not exceed 5 MB.

Works that are identical or similar to another artist’s work will not be evaluated; all responsibility lies with the participant.

Participants must submit the Identification Form and Short Biography Form together with their artworks.

Participants under 18 must attach a scanned copy of their national ID.

Submissions must be sent only via email; postal or cargo submissions will not be accepted.

Submitted works will not be returned.

Amasya Municipality retains the right to use, publish, and exhibit all submitted works for cultural purposes.

Economic rights of awarded or exhibited works shall belong jointly and indefinitely to the artist and Amasya Municipality.

Submission of works implies full acceptance of all competition rules.

In case of any discrepancy between the English and Turkish versions, the Turkish version shall prevail.

Prizes

First Prize: 40,000 TRY

Second Prize: 35,000 TRY

Third Prize: 30,000 TRY

Honorable Mention (3 awards): 15,000 TRY each

Honorable Mention (Ages 15–18, 3 awards): 10,000 TRY each

Honorable Mention (Ages 9–14, 3 awards): 7,500 TRY each
