Each participant may submit up to 3 artworks, which must arrive no later than February 28, 2026.
1. Theme of the Competition and Participation Guidelines
The competition is open to cartoonists, illustrators, and graphic artists worldwide.
Participants may request to take part “out of competition”, which means they will be excluded from prize eligibility.
The theme of the 2026 edition is:

Each participant may submit a maximum of 3 works (cartoons or strips).
The works must relate to the proposed theme and reflect interpretations connected to humanity and contemporary society, viewed with humor.
Artworks must not contain text or dialogue.
All works must be unpublished (never published or submitted to other competitions).
The organizers reserve the right to exclude from awards any work found to have been previously published.
2. Submission Methods and Deadlines

Technical Requirements
Format: JPEG, PNG, or GIF
Resolution: 150 dpi, high quality
Maximum file size: 3 MB
Black-and-white or color works are accepted, in any drawing technique.
Works that exceed the technical limits will not be accepted.
The acceptance of artworks, selection process, and awarding of prizes are at the exclusive discretion of the Jury appointed by the Gruppo Grafico Marosticense.
The Jury’s decision is final and irrevocable.
3. Sending Original Artworks & Prize Assignment
Selected participants will receive an email with instructions regarding the deadline and method for sending original artworks for exhibition.
If the artwork is entirely digital, the artist must send a signed and numbered print.
Artworks must arrive postage paid and customs-free.

Additional special or honorary prizes may be awarded at the Jury’s discretion.

4. Exhibition & Regulation Acceptance
The exhibition opening will take place on May 9, 2026, in Marostica.
The exhibition will remain open until June 7, 2026.
Artworks selected for the exhibition and catalogue will not be returned and will become part of the “Museo di Umorista a Marostica” archive.
The Gruppo Grafico Marosticense reserves the right to reproduce and display artworks in all official communications and promotional materials, with the credit “by Umoristi a Marostica”, without compensation.
While the organizers will handle artworks with care, they assume no responsibility for any damage occurring during transport.
Participation in the competition implies full acceptance of these rules and authorizes the Gruppo Grafico Marosticense to process personal data in accordance with EU data protection regulations (EU Regulation 2016/679), including storing such data in databases used for managing the competition.
