Theme: Invisible Disability
Submission Deadline
10 April 2026
Theme
Invisible Disability
The contest focuses on raising awareness about disabilities that are not immediately visible. Invisible disabilities include conditions such as epilepsy, multiple sclerosis (MS), chronic pain, autism spectrum differences, mental health conditions, and similar situations that affect daily life but may not have outward physical signs.
The competition invites cartoonists to address:
– The prejudice that “if it is not visible, it does not exist”
– Misunderstandings and conflicts in daily life (public transport, queues, schools, workplaces, healthcare services, public institutions)
– The misconception that accessibility is only physical, while communication barriers and social attitudes remain
– Stigmatizing language, discrimination, and exclusion
– Empathy, solidarity, and rights-based approaches that make life easier through simple accommodations
