The 33rd CartoonRendón International Festival in Colombia invites cartoonists and caricaturists from around the world to participate in two sections dedicated to performing arts and Colombian cultural heritage.

Themes:

Cartoon Section: THEATER

The theme is Theater, one of the oldest performing arts, involving the live enactment of stories before an audience. It combines acting, speech, gestures, set design, music and sound to convey emotions and narratives.

Caricature Section: Satirical Portrait of JUAN JOSÉ BOTERO RUIZ

Juan José Botero Ruiz was a writer, poet and editor from Rionegro and a pioneer of theater. His work “Far from the Nest” is considered part of the distinguished body of Antioquian folkloric literature. He contributed to various newspapers and pamphlets, publishing literary and historical content.

Deadline: November 12, 2026

Participation: The competition is open to national and international artists.

Cartoon Section: Maximum of 2 entries per artist.

Caricature Section: Maximum of 1 entry per artist.

Format: A4 size, 300 dpi resolution, JPG/JPEG format. Free technique.

Jury: The festival will have national and international jury members. Jury members participate honorarily in the exhibition and are not eligible for prizes.

General Rules: Entries that do not comply with the rules will be disqualified. Submitted works remain with the organizers and may be used for exhibitions or promotional purposes, including websites, print and media, without additional permission or compensation.

The organizers reserve the right to use submitted works for exhibition and promotional purposes.
