Regulations

The contest is open to amateur and professional cartoonists over the age of 18 from all over the world, without discrimination of religion, language, or race.

Only cartoons are accepted; paintings or illustrations are not accepted.

Cartoons must be without text. No brand, item, or product names are allowed; only logos or symbols may be used.

Cartoons must be strictly black lines on a white background. Gray tones are not accepted.

Accepted sizes are A4 or A3.

Participants must write their name, surname, address, telephone number, and email on the back of the cartoon.

A photo and a short CV must be submitted.

Previously published works are accepted, but works that have won awards in other contests are not accepted.

Finalist works will be published on the official website and checked against plagiarism or similarity.

If a work is found to be copied, imitated, stolen, or previously awarded, it will be disqualified.

Participants may submit any number of works, but can receive only one prize per section.

Cartoons produced with artificial intelligence are strictly prohibited and will be disqualified.

Works must be sent by normal or insured mail no later than April 15, 2026. Hand delivery is not accepted.

Submitted works will not be returned and will remain in the archives of the International Cyprus Cartoon Museum.

Awarded and selected works will be published in an album and exhibited during the 25th International Olive Festival 2026.

All submitted cartoons may be reproduced by Kyrenia Municipality or the Cyprus Turkish Cartoonists Association for cultural and promotional purposes.

By submitting works, participants accept all contest conditions and waive any future financial or copyright claims.
