Regulations
– The contest is organized by the Federació de Colles de l’Aplec del Caragol de Lleida (Fecoll), with the collaboration of Humoràlia and the sponsorship of RACC Travel.
– Any professional or amateur artist may participate.
– Participants may submit a maximum of three works.
– Submitted works must be original, unpublished, not awarded in any other competition, and not created using artificial intelligence.
– Only comic strips are accepted.
– Works may be created using any pictorial technique.
– The format must be A4 size (210 × 297 mm) or proportional.
– Works may be wordless or include text only in Catalan, Spanish, or English.
– Submissions must be sent exclusively by email to aplec@aplec.org.
– A maximum of three images may be sent per participant.
– Works sent by regular mail will not be accepted.
– The submission email must include the author’s full name, address, telephone number, a short curriculum vitae, and a photograph and/or an author caricature.
– The jury’s decision will be final and unappealable.
– The jury will be composed of representatives from Fecoll, RACC Travel, and Humoràlia.
– The jury’s decision will be communicated to the winner during the last two weeks of April or the first two weeks of May 2026 by email and later published on the websites and social media of Humoràlia and Fecoll.
– The winner must deliver the original work at the award ceremony or send it by certified mail, properly protected, if unable to attend in person.
– If the work is created partially or fully with digital tools, a printed copy signed by hand by the author must be sent.
– Selected works, up to a maximum of 50, will be exhibited at the Fecoll headquarters or other designated venues.
– Digital versions of the works will be displayed in a virtual gallery published on the websites of Humoràlia and Fecoll.
– The organization reserves the right to reproduce and disseminate the winning and selected works solely for promotional purposes of the Aplec and future editions of the contest, without additional permission or obligation to the authors.
– Participation implies full acceptance of these rules. Any questions will be resolved by the jury.
Prizes
– One single prize of 1,018 euros, subject to applicable tax deductions.
– A trip to Lleida for two people.
– Two nights of accommodation in Lleida, if requested by the winner, to attend the award ceremony.
– The award ceremony will take place on May 22nd, 2026, coinciding with the opening of the XLV Aplec del Caragol.
– It is recommended not to change the trip dates; any additional costs resulting from changes will be borne by the winner.
