Radio Yerevan and Armenian Figures
Participants may submit works in one of the following categories:
Portrait Caricature
Portrait caricatures of personalities of Armenian origin from Romania.
Thematic Cartoon
Cartoons inspired by the contest theme: Radio Yerevan.
Objectives
The competition aims to promote the Armenian community in Romania at both national and international levels through artistic expression and to pay tribute to the renowned Romanian graphic artist and caricaturist of Armenian origin, Cik (Hacik) Damadian.
Deadline for Submission
15 August 2026
Eligibility
The competition is open to Romanian and international participants over 18 years of age, regardless of nationality, race, gender, or religion.
Regulations
Participants may submit a maximum of three (3) original cartoons.
All submitted works must be original, unpublished, and must not have received awards in any other competition.
Works must be in A4 format.
Entries may be submitted electronically in PDF, JPG, or JPEG format.
For participants residing in Romania, original artworks must also be sent by post.
The competition includes two categories:
Portrait caricatures of Armenian personalities from Romania.
Cartoons based on the theme "Radio Yerevan".
The following documents must accompany each submission:
Completed registration form.
Copy of identity document.
Personal Data Protection Declaration.
Short curriculum vitae in Romanian or English including full name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address.
The jury will evaluate all submitted works between 15 August and 31 August 2026.
The jury members will be announced by 15 August 2026.
Participation implies full acceptance of the competition regulations.
Works submitted to the competition become the property of the organizers.
Artificial intelligence regulations were not specifically mentioned in the official announcement.

Best Portrait Award
1,000 Romanian Lei (approximately €200)
Best Thematic Cartoon Award
1,000 Romanian Lei (approximately €200)
Second Prize
750 Romanian Lei (approximately €150)
Third Prize
500 Romanian Lei (approximately €100)
Honorable Mention
250 Romanian Lei (approximately €50)
Award-winning participants attending the ceremony will receive accommodation and meals during their stay.
Jury
The jury will be appointed from recognized specialists and announced no later than 15 August 2026.

5 September 2026
The venue will be announced after 15 August 2026.
