🖌 Categories

Artists may submit one (1) unpublished work per category in any of the following four modalities:

1️⃣ Cartoon – Theme: Bipolar Disorder
2️⃣ Comic Strips / Comics (HQ) – Theme: Free or Bipolar Disorder (in Portuguese or without text / maximum one page)
3️⃣ Caricature – Theme: Free (vertical)
4️⃣ Tribute Caricature – Theme: HENFIL (Brazilian cartoonist) (one vertical drawing limit)

👩‍🎨 Eligibility

Open to all artists, amateurs or professionals, over 18 years old, from any country.
Only unpublished works are accepted.
Awarded works must not have been registered before the closing date.

📨 Submission Guidelines

• Registration through the “Participar” form link.

• File format: JPG, A3 (30x40 cm), 300 DPI.

• Each artist may submit up to 3 works per category.

• The email submission must include:

  • Full name / Artistic name

  • Address

  • CPF / RG (for Brazilian residents)

  • Phone number

All works must be sent in one single email message containing all entries.

AI-generated works are NOT allowed.

🧾 Technical Requirements

• Format: A3 (30 × 40 cm)

• Technique: Free (original or printed on couchê paper accepted)

• Works must be original and unpublished.

🏆 Prizes

💰 Monetary Awards:

• 1st Place: R$ 1,500 per category (Total R$ 6,000)

• 2nd Place: R$ 1,000 per category (Total R$ 4,000)

• 3rd Place: R$ 500 per category (Total R$ 2,000)
  Total Prize Money: R$ 11,500

🏅 Trophies:
For the top three winners in each category.

📜 Certificates:
For three honorable mentions per category.
(Only one prize per author per category.)

Note:
Foreign participants must use a bank with a branch in Brazil to receive cash prizes.

⚖️ Jury and Evaluation

• Two juries: one for selection and one for awards.

• The award jury may:

  • Withhold prizes in categories that don’t meet quality standards.

  • Transfer prizes or create special awards.

  • Cancel awards if plagiarism or irregularities are found.

Results will be announced on the official Capivara Humor website and Instagram page after the exhibition opening.
Artists may appeal within one week of the opening, providing proof of irregularities.

📚 Rights and Publication

All submitted works (awarded or not) will become property of Instituto Ocellaris and may be used for:

• Traveling exhibitions

• Printed, TV, or digital media

• Publications in books and magazines

By participating, artists agree to transfer their copyright to Instituto Ocellaris Brasil, in accordance with Brazilian Copyright Law No. 9.610/1998, granting full, universal, and permanent usage rights free of charge.
