Biography
Luis Ordoñez, is Argentine, lives in the city of Lanús, Buenos Aires.
For 44 years he has been professionally and uninterruptedly dedicated to drawing and caricature.
Working on Argentine television in the highest-rated TV programs, he also worked for 3 years on television in the United States on channel 41 in Miami, Florida.
He worked in the most prestigious graphic media in Argentina, as well as in publications in France, Germany and the United States.
For 34 years he has been teaching humorous drawing and caricature in his three schools in Argentina and founded the first caricature school in the city of Coral Gables Miami Florida, these schools being the busiest in all of Latin America.
He had his own program called "Las Minas de Ordoñez" where in daily micro programs he taught to draw by this means.
He exhibited in Canada, Belgium, Japan, Germany, the United States, Spain, France, being in this last country, in Saint Just Le Martel, awarded in 2012 and in 2019 by the direction of culture and the Hall of Humor, as the best cartoonist in the world among more than 500 cartoonists from all over the planet.
In October 2019, he exhibited at the Louvre Museum, in the Carrousel, being the first time that a cartoonist exhibits in such an emblematic museum.
He is named Illustrious Citizen of his hometown Lanús Buenos Aires Argentina.
He currently teaches his courses through virtuality to different parts of the world.
