I am 2D animator, illustrator and Peruvian cartoonist, I have more than 30 years of artistic career.
I received in Caracas Venezuela, the Pedro León Zapata Award for the best cartoonist of the national press in 1989. For the animated short "Bolívar, canto al Libertador", for the "Best animated short of 1999". In the city of Santiago, Chile, awarded by the Inter-American Press Association (IAPA) for the "Best Cartoonist of the Year 2000". In Lima Peru, Beneficiary of the Economic Stimulus, "Contest to support creative projects of authors of children's and youth literature books", awarded by the Ministry of Culture of Peru, 2018; in addition to other awards in Venezuela, Spain, Colombia and Romania.
I worked in the 80's as an illustrator and cartoonist, in most of Lima newspapers such as: La Revista Somos, El Nacional, Extra, Expreso, Revista Visión Peruana, Ojo, and La República. I have been the founder of the Club Nazca de la Historieta and the Club de Comics, with other illustrator colleagues from the 80's generation. In the 90's I emigrated to Venezuela where I worked as an illustrator, cartoonist and Animation Director, in different written media and TV commercial producers
In the last years, in Lima, we founded with fellow friends the ARTESANO Collective dedicated to the dissemination of graphic humor, caricature, comics and poetry. I have also dedicated myself to the illustration and editing of comics, such as: History of La Blanquiroja in the World Cups, of 5 chapters, Martín Guise, founder of the Peruvian Navy and personal projects such as: Tales of Tomorrow and Easy Tales.
