The Results of the 26th Olense Kartoenale/ Belgium  

How cartoonists to jump with energy? And what they have to say about contemporary issues such as asylum? The international cartoon contest of the Olen Kartoenale brought these topical themes which resulted in a series of exciting cartoons.
The top prize in the theme "Energy: yesterday, today and tomorrow" this year went to Mehdi Azizi from Iran. On behalf of the embassy took Iraneese Moyen Fayazi this award. The second prize went to a Belgian Stefaan Provijn from Sint-Martens-Latem. Stefaan was present to receive his award in person at the awards ceremony on 13 November. The price of Amnesty International in the theme of "right to asylum" continued Marco De Angelis from Italy, who also won in 2013 could take this award.

The other winners in the adult category are:

3rd prize 'the pot': Makhmudjon Eshonkulov (Uzbekistan);
4th prize 'inkwell': Izabela Wieczorek Kowalska (Poland);
price city Bialogard: Slawomir Makal (Poland).
In the youth category the first prize went to Saeed Norozi from Iran. The other finalists in this category are:

2nd prize: Zahra Moghadam (Iran);
3rd prize: Imke Ergo (Belgium);
4th prize: Bing Ren Hao (China).

A total of 366 cartoonists from 54 countries participated, accounting for 1127 submitted cartoons.

Exhibition and catalog

The exhibition at the Olen Kartoenale is available until December 31 in the chamber during the opening hours of the town hall.

The winning cartoons and many other entries were compiled into a beautiful color catalog. This catalog is on sale for 12 euros at the reception of the town hall and the leisure service.
