Bud Cook - USA
Bud Cook is a painter and illustrator living in Northeast Connecticut.
He received a BFA in painting printmaking from Rhode Island College in 1990, and since then has pursued a career in graphic design, web and interactive media design, as well as comic art and commercial illustration.
As an illustrator, some of Bud’s past clients include; Magic: The Gathering, Dark Horse Comics and Image Comics.
In the summer of 2012 he began as an instructor with the program L’Atelier au Chateau, a Drawing Program in France created by Jean Paul and Beth Jacquet.
Bud co teaches this intensive two week drawing program with Jean Paul.
In 2014 they completed their fourth year of the program, (Bud’s third year). They will return to Europe next year for Drawing in Italy, a program for high school students, then on to France for a professional program for adults in the town of Mussy Sur Seine.
His main focus is the fine arts; drawing and painting, and occasionally sculpture.
In the Fall of 2014 Bud made a career change and is working full time now on his creative pursuits; a combination of commercial illustration, fine arts and teaching.
