Gerhard Gluck was born on July 13, 1944 in Bad Vilbel. He grew up in Frankfurt, here he went to school, where he struck early with his artistic talent. For the study of art education and graphic design, he moved to Kassel, in the city where he still lives and where he worked as an art teacher and from 1976 to 2003.

Admits became Gerhard luck with his cartoons, which he in the north Hessian newspaper published Hessian / Niedersachsische Allgemeine 1972. In 1973 came the Süddeutsche Zeitung so. Later followed the time, the manager magazin, the monthly supplement Folio the Neue Zurcher Zeitung, and Cicero. Since the 1990s published Gerhard Gluck regularly in Berlin Eulenspiegel. He also illustrated editions of great poets such as Christian Morgenstern, Ringelnatz and Kurt Tucholsky and published a whole series of his own books.
