Audin Aghdashlou was born 1940 in Rasht.
He went to Tehran when he was 11 years old. His painting was sold for the first time when he was 14 years old. Two years later he started to work in Etelaat Newspaper.
He went to Faculty of Fine Arts at the age of 19 but he dissuaded.
He was trainer of Faculty of Decorative Arts from 1973 to 1978 and he also organized Exhibitions from his artworks in Iran and USA
Aghdashlou had a great role in establishing Reza Abbasi Museum in 1977 and was it's manager. He was also one of the organizers of establishing Tehran Contemporary Arts Museum and Kerman and Khoram Abad Museums.
He was professor of Alzahra and Kerman Azad University from 1980, and has made 200 lectures in Iran and other countries.
He has been participated in 30 Group Exhibitions. Free Workshop of " Honarkade Azad" was established by Aydin Aghdashlou in 1981.
He started writing and making documentary films about Iran Art and made 13 Parts " Toward Simurgh" documentary film about History of Iranian Painting from 14th century for TV. 
He published lots of books from 2006 that some of them are " One Face" , " Mr Lotfi Shirzi Painter" and " Years of Fire and Snow".
