بیوگرافی
غلامعلی لطیفی (زادهٔ ۱۳۱۳ در باکو) از پیشگامان و چهرههای اثرگذار کاریکاتور ایران است و از شناختهشدهترین هنرمندان این حوزه در ایران بهشمار میرود.
او در سال ۱۳۱۳ در شهر باکو متولد شد و در سال ۱۳۱۸ بههمراه خانواده به تهران آمد. فعالیت حرفهای خود را با نشریهٔ چهارصفحهای چلنگر که بهصورت هفتگی منتشر میشد آغاز کرد. پس از کودتای ۲۸ مرداد، کاریکاتورها و طرحهای او بهطور منظم در نشریاتی چون نقش جهان و فردوسی و بهصورت پراکنده در دیگر مطبوعات آن دوره منتشر شد. از سال ۱۳۳۶ همکاری خود را با مجلهٔ طنز توفیق آغاز کرد و این همکاری تا سال ۱۳۴۳ ادامه داشت؛ آثاری که هم در صفحات داخلی و هم بر روی جلد این نشریه به چاپ میرسید.
لطیفی بههمراه منوچهر محجوبی از بنیانگذاران مجلهٔ کشکیات بود. او پیش از انقلاب اسلامی، سابقهٔ فعالیت آموزشی و تدریس در خانهٔ کاریکاتور ایران را نیز در کارنامهٔ خود دارد و از جمله هنرمندانی است که نقش مؤثری در انتقال تجربه و شکلگیری جریان حرفهای کاریکاتور در ایران ایفا کرده است.

Gholamali Latifi (born 1934 in Baku) is a pioneer and influential figure in Iranian cartooning and is regarded as one of the most well-known artists in this field in Iran.
He was born in 1934 in the city of Baku and moved to Tehran with his family in 1939. Latifi began his professional career with the four-page weekly magazine Chelangar. After the 1953 coup d’état, his cartoons were published regularly in periodicals such as Naqsh-e Jahan and Ferdowsi, and irregularly in other publications of the time. From 1957 to 1964, he collaborated with the renowned satirical magazine Towfiq, where his works appeared both inside the magazine and on its covers.
Together with Manouchehr Mahjoubi, Latifi co-founded the magazine Keshkiyat. Prior to the Islamic Revolution, he was also active as an instructor at the Iran Cartoon House, playing an important role in transferring experience and helping shape the professional cartoon movement in Iran.
