He was born in Shiraz in
1942. Iran's most famous satirical cartoonist, Kambiz also worked in advertising, drew
billboards, and illustrated book covers and children's books. He moved from Iran in 1980.He
has exhibited widely and his drawings are represented in Tehran's
Museum of Contemporary Art, in Basel's caricature/cartoon collection,
and in the House
of Humor and Satire in Montreal. He has published two books and received several international awards. He works in Golagha Monthly magazine in Tehran now. |
