Similarity!!
By an e-mail sent from cartoon art to us
a similar one of the cartoon winning first prize at
"smiling cat" cartoon contest have been sent us.
Yes, there is a figural similarity...
The cartoonist had benefited from a photo.
It is a typical "figural similarity".
But it contains a differentness in point of the comment and phantasy.
However the finalist cartoons were exhibited on "donquichotte" and
"cartoooncenter" web sites for a week.
I wish that this sample had been sent before.
For all that we, the jury will deal this subject again and
inform the result to you.

Iran Cartoon:

After announcement of the result of international cartoon contest
“Smiling Cat”, cartoon art site by showing a cartoon, claimed that
 the cartoon of Bahram Azimi that was the winner in this contest
 is a copy that is shown in Don Quixote site.

Erdogan Karayel said that this claim is going to consider,
so that the jurors decide about it. We spoke with Bahram Azimi
about this problem. He said:” I drew this cartoon by seeing
this very famous picture. As we know many cartoonists
 around the world use pictures or works of another
cartoonist or painters to draw a new cartoon.

We can mention many cartoons in relation to Monaliza,
 Monsch scream, Freedom status, Roden’s thinking,…
but we can’t look at them as a copy.

In fact I drew this cartoon by using this picture and giving
some changes in drawing and light and I made it a cartoon.

It’s interesting that I was honest with the real picture
and I didn’t try to deny it, so that nobody understands it.

I really love to know the idea of other cartoonists about it.
