DRAWING PRESS 2012 Edition
REGULATION
The mayor of Porto Alegre, through the Municipal Department of
Culture, informs interested parties that you receive from us via
e-mail address: @ gmail.com salao.press.portoalegre from January 30
to February 29, 2012, in the form Law No. 8666/93 and its subsequent
amendments, documentation in order to participate in the bidding
process that regulates the Contest No. 24/2011, 20 DESIGN
INTERNATIONAL PRESS.

1.FINALIDADE
1.1. This Regulation aims to select artists for the 20th
INTERNATIONAL DRAWING PRESS taking place from March 22 to May 6,
2012 in the Hall of Arches in the Plant of the Gasometer, to
stimulate and disseminate a comprehensive manner, the graphic
applied to press, and give awards to each of the categories
described below.
REGISTRATION 2.DAS
2.1. Entries can be made from January 30 to February 29, 2012, via
e-mail at:
salao.press.portoalegre @ gmail.com.
2.2. In the email sent to the application 20 ° INTERNATIONAL DESIGN
PRESS must contain in annex:
2.2.1. Filled registration form (Appendix I).
2.2.2. Image (s) (s) work (s) to be enrolled, with reference to the
category in which it occurs (m).
2.3. Specifications of image files:
2.3.1. Each image file must be a minimum resolution of 200 dpi and a
maximum of 300 dpi and a maximum weight of 10 MB. The work will be
printed in A4 format.
3. PARTICIPANTS
3.1. The competition is aimed at professionals and amateurs, in the
modalities Cartoon, Comical Cartoon, Caricature, Comics and
Editorial Illustration (to newspaper, magazine, book, album cover,
poster, etc..).
3.2. Entries in the modality Editorial Illustration must have
actually been published between March 2011 and January 2012, and
must be accompanied by a scanned copy of the publication date and
journal name identifiable.
3.3. Participants can compete with up to 05 (five) works distributed
in any of the 05 (five) categories.
3.4. Failure to follow these instructions will result in the
disqualification summary of the work.
4.DA SELECTION
4.1. The city of Porto Alegre designate by Order published in the
Official Gazette of Porto Alegre - DOPA, a Selection Committee and
other Awards, made up of cartoonists, journalists, graphic artists,
visual artists and representatives of the Municipal Department of
Culture.
4.2. The Selection Committee will have as main criteria the
creativity, originality and artistic quality of the desenhose select
obeying the following purposes:
4.3. The list of selected papers will be available from the day
March 16, 2011 at: http://www.portoalegre.rs.gov.br/smc/cap/editais.
4.4. The ratio of winners will be announced at the opening ceremony
of the Hall
4.5. The list of selected and awarded will be published in DOPA (Diário
Oficial de Porto Alegre).
4.6. The decision of the Jury that cripple the papers presented, due
to non-submission of required documents or appear inconsistent with
the required administrative appeal may be filed with the Department
of Fine Arts within 05 (five) working days from the date of
publication the result.
4.7. The appeal will be judged within a maximum of 05 (five) working
days.
5. PRIZES
5.1. Will be assigned one (01) acquisition prize, valued at $
1,000.00 (one thousand reais) to each of the five (5) categories:
Cartoon, Political Cartoon, Comics, Caricature and Editorial
Illustration. The back will be the guiding criteria of creativity,
originality and artistic quality of the drawings. Honorable Mentions
may be awarded at the discretion of the Award Committee.
5.2. The awarded works will become part of the Municipal Art
Collection.
5.3. Prizes not claimed within 90 (ninety) days from the publication
of the result, will expire.
6. GENERAL PROVISIONS
6.1. Selected works may be used by the Municipality of Porto Alegre,
for purposes of advertising the event, without any cost.
6.2. Entry in this competition implies full acceptance of the terms
of this regulation. The cases shall be resolved by the Organizing
Committee, subject to the Law 8666/93.
6.3.As and Award Selection Committee will be sovereign in their
decisions.
According to Law 8666/93, Art.9 thereof, the members of the
Committees of Selection and Awards, as well as the servants of the
Municipality of Porto Alegre, can not participate in this contest.
6.4. The cost of this contest will run for the budget allocation No.
1003.2481.339031.
6.5. Prizes will be paid after the publication of results and the
appellate deadline.
6.6. The payment of the prize winners shall be subject to the
submission of necessary documentation will be requested in due
course.
6.7. The cases shall be resolved by the organizing committee.
