The meeting of the planning and policy of the 10th International
 Tehran cartoon Biennial-Iran
In the Sunday 22nd may 2011 the meeting of the planning and policy of the 10th International Tehran cartoon Biennial was held by the presence of the director and Executive director of the 9th Biennial, Massoud Shojai Tabatabai and Abbas Ghazi Zahedi, Hassan Banafshe Kayhan caricatur’s editor and active masters and artists in this artistic field: Kambiz Derambakhsh, Bahman Abdi, Javad Alizadeh, Gholamali Latifi, Davood Shahidi, Mohammad Hossein Niromand, Ahmad Arabani, Mohammad Amin Aghaei, Ali Hashemi Shahraki, Bahram Azimi, Hamid Bahrami and Mohammadreza Doust Mohammadi by the session for selection of various themes of this Biennial in Iranian House of cartoon (Permanent Secretariat of this artistic event).
After discussion and consideration and demonstration of all the themes, eventually by member’s casting vote, “Superstition” theme that was suggested by Bahman Abdi and Massoud Shojai tabatabai selected as the basic theme of the original section of the 10th Biennial. In caricature section “Free” subject was selected, and in Comic Strip section by suggestion of Mohammad Reza Doust Mohammadi and member’s vote
 “Dilemma” was Chosen.



At the conclusion by Massoud Shojai Tabatabai’s suggestion and member’s vote the section of “Character Design” was added to other sections of this Biennial that after discussion and consideration Mohammad Reza Doust Mohammadi Suggested “Cat” subject that eventually by suggestion of Gholam Ali Latifi “Persian Cat” was selected as the theme of Character Design section.
Consequently the sections and themes of the 10th International Tehran Cartoon Biennial selected as:
Theme cartoon section: Superstition
Cartoon Section: Free
Caricature Section: Free
Comic Strip Section: Dilemma
Character Design Section: Persian cat
We should mention that catalogue of the 9th Biennial will be delivered to the artists that their artworks published in the catalogue by the announcement of the contest.
