 Mashhad-Iran”
The jury panel of the biennial including MASOOD ZIAI , SHAHROKH HEIDARI , MAHMOOD NAZARI , ABBAS NASERI all from Iran, ALESSANDRO GATTO from Italy, VALENTIN GEORGIEV from Bulgaria, MUSA GUMUS from Turkey and LUDO GODERIS from Belgium as art referees and ALI SEIFI as the representative of technical referees selected the following cartoonists among 541 submitted artworks:

First Place: Abolfazl Mohtarami, Iran, winner of 1000$, Trophy and Honorable Mention


Second Place: Mohsen Asadi, Iran, Winner of 750$, Trophy and Honorable Mention


Third Place: Tekinalp Gureken, Turkey, Winner of 500$, Trophy and Honorable Mention

The awards will be presented during a gala ceremony in 24-Feb-2009 in Mashhad simultaneously with artworks exhibition setup and unveiling the exquisite book of the biennial, and the non-Iranian winners’ awards will be sent to them.
