Members of the Jury, in composition of among others two winners from previous competitions, are proud for the success of the 14th Salon, number of the authors participants and the quality of the caricature; all these testifies the unfortunately universality and actuality of anti war topic. The encouraging thing is the willingness and readiness of the cartoonists to judge and ridicule wars and warriors.
The Jury points to the fact that the Salon confirms once again to be both one of the most important anti war manifestations in Serbia and the review of caricature in the country. The Jury expresses its gratitude to the City of Kragujevac for supporting and facilitating the Salon and its development; it further congratulates the City for gathering the city partners and presentation of the Salon to the world and the interior cities. The mutual assessment is that ignoring this traditional manifestation by the Ministry of Culture is unacceptable in particular the decision of the Ministry to “wipe off” the Salon from the list of projects the Ministry supports financially.
